Kitchen extension and first floor Refurbishment - Fulham

This Victorian Terraced house was completely transformed with a side return kitchen extension and first floor refurbishment, along with a dormer loft conversion featuring a private terrace (see our case study for Adding a Private Terrace with a Dormer Loft Conversion in Fulham).

Creative Spaces team met with the client and after the first consultation, it was clear to us that the vision our client has was to create more stylish space. They aimed to achieve a house transformation that caters to their new lifestyle and give them the comfort they wanted without the hassle of moving home and leaving their lovely neighbourhood in Fulham.

The new plan included ground floor and the first-floor refurbishment, where the aim was to open the space in the house and create a flow from the front of the house to the back. First thing was to open the reception to the dining room, resulted in an expansive reception with a separate lounge area. In order to create a large open plan kitchen diner we built a side return extension that added space to the rear and the side of the house. Now, the kitchen has a large working area that includes an island and comfortably accommodates a dining space, which was made possible by extending into the side passage of the property creating the side return extension. Further, for a seamless navigation, a new downstairs WC was installed to compliment the new upstairs family bathroom. The new cloak room provides significantly more storage for coats and shoes and utilities adding to the functionality. The kitchen is now completely open to the rear garden, with an elegant glass French door creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.

The first floor of this charming house consists of three bedrooms and one family bathroom. However, with the renovation, we aimed to elevate comfort and optimise the space for modern living. To achieve the new space, the first floor was also extended (by the support of the structure of the ground floor extension). This newly acquired space now accommodates a larger and more comfortable family bedroom.

This full house refurbishment not only made the house more comfortable to live in by accommodating the modern living style; but also maximized the space by utilising the potential of the house, eventually leading to an increase to the value of the property.

Our Project Management team worked on this project to ensure that the plans were executed efficiently that it was delivered on time. This entire ground floor transformation with a side return kitchen extension and first floor refurbishment took us 15 weeks to deliver at the cost of £118k.
