We have lots of experience converting flats and maisonettes in nearly all London boroughs. Contact us today and we can advise you on what can be achieved and what is necessary.
Mansard Loft Conversion
First floor flats can benefit from a mansard loft conversion in London. With the party walls being built up in London stock brick to match the existing exterior fabric of the building. The 70 degree angle roof at the front allows for two to three windows. You can increase your 1 or 2 bedroom flat in size to a 2 or 3 bed flat with an extra shower room. It’s a great way to add bedrooms to your flat or maisonette.
Dormer Loft Conversion
In a maisonette or a flat, a dormer loft conversion tends to be a bit smaller then for a terraced house. They tend to be on one side and clad in either tiles or lead. Although slightly smaller in space, you will get a lovely, bright bedroom with ensuite or shower room which is great for guests or as a master bedroom.
Double Mansard Conversions
A double mansard is particularly suitable for a townhouse or maisonette. Similar to other property styles, a double mansard loft conversion here adds a whole new level to your property. This type of loft conversion generally requires planning permission as you are changing the roof line to the front and rear of the property so the project will be visible from the front street.
