Kitchen Extension and Modifications - Stoke Newington
Our team worked on a kitchen extension project where the client’s vision for the new kitchen was not only a bigger, spacious kitchen, but also adding various sitting areas (a lounge space, oriel window with window seat and a seated dining space). Our client’s vision board made it clear that they prioritise adding a lounge area and a dining area to the extension, utilising the new space to the fullest.
This L-shaped rear side return extension opened up the space in the back of the house to create a large functional and bright area for all the family to enjoy. Our clients wanted large windows and doors out to the patio and garden and the roof lights on the pitched roof flood the work spaces with plenty of light. The overall space is incredibly social with an oriel window with window seat allowing guest to relax while the hosts work in the kitchen area. The L-shaped extension to the rear allows for a large dining table and a nice cosy and relaxing seating area with views and direct access to the garden. Here, rather than bifolding doors, we added one large window door that opens fully to the garden. Allowing full access to the garden from the kitchen. This extension design fully modernised this Victorian terraced house and provided our clients with much needed additional family space. In terms of the décor, our client very tastefully mixed modern conveniences with a traditional aesthetic. It has resulted in a beautifully calm and relaxing space.
