Kitchen and Diner in Rear Extension - Upper Norwood

Our clients in Upper Norwood area own a beautiful Victorian house in which they envisioned an open plan living and dining space on the ground floor and approached us to transform their house with a new rear kitchen extension and to refurbished first floor.

The previous layout of the ground floor had kitchen at the very end of a corridor with the hallway leading from the front door and had stairs against one side of the house behind which, there was an underutilised space. The old layout had a large living room that opened to the dining room that then led to a sunroom. The first floor is a three-bedroom and one bathroom space.

Creative Spaces understood the vision and with the help of the In-house Design team, created a new layout to fulfil the new requirements of our clients for the house. The new ground floor now has a separate spacious lounge area. The previous dining room is now converted into a sitting room. The area under the stairs which was a part of the old kitchen is now a stylish cloak room, and the kitchen has now moved into the large rear extension. This has created a multifunctional space of a lounge area, dining space and a large kitchen complete with island.

This extension is an expansive room and wisely laid out to add functionality to the newly designed rear extension. The new layout allows for practical use of the space for relaxing and working. To complete this transformation and expand the kitchen-diner to the rear garden, large glass bi-folds are installed that adds more room and make the space airy and inviting. The first floor was totally revamped decoratively complete with stylish and upgraded bedroom spaces. We not only added space to this home with a great rear extension but also added value.

This Kitchen extension, ground and first floor refurbishment took 14 weeks to complete within the cost estimated £76k.
