Kitchen and Diner Extension - Leytonstone
Our clients have a lovely Victorian house in a beautiful neighbourhood where we have already succeeded in delivering a spacious master bedroom with a loft conversion. They also wanted Creative Spaces for a kitchen extension and full house refurbishment. Their requirements for their kitchen extension were simply to expand the space in the kitchen and in the dining area. Instead of separating the kitchen with the dining area, our client aimed to utilise the entire extended area for the new kitchen with diner. We worked closely with an external architect on this project bringing their design and the clients vision to life.
The goal of this project was to create a bespoke and spacious kitchen and dining area which was at the rear of the house and making a seamless transition between the garden and kitchen. We extended the house to the side and rear and built a separate structure to the side that is connected to the extension and existing property by a full glass connector creating an illuminated passage which acts as both a visual separator and bright connector between the kitchen and dining space. This has transformed the space.
While planning the new kitchen, we also worked on the reception area which was divided into two rooms and that led to the side passage from the right side and to the dining area and then kitchen from the left. As per the designs we opened up the lounge space to the front of the property creating a dedicated reception area. This worked out perfectly as now the house has a huge hall with two sitting areas which gave access to the to the kitchen + diner and then the patio garden. The narrow portion of the side passage is now utilised for storage.
The new kitchen + diner is now a modern and spacious area with a lot of space to walk around. The kitchen is converted into an open plan kitchen with an island unit that provides ample storage along with increased workspace. The kitchen area is illuminated by glass sliding doors which brings in lights that fills in the entire space. With these windows, glass door overlooking the garden and glazed roof the room now feels connected to the outdoors with ease.
This project took 15 weeks to complete with all the intricate details brought to perfection with the total cost of £192k.
