Dormer Loft Conversion and First Floor Refurbishment - Wandsworth
Creative Spaces team worked together in a full house refurbishment in Wandsworth which included the addition of an L-shaped dormer loft conversion in order to add a spacious guest bedroom with a lot of storage, first floor refurbishment for a master bedroom and kids bedroom. The ground floor was a part of living room revamping and kitchen extension. You can find the case study for that in the same page.
The loft in this Victorian house was quite large, and our client aimed to utilise that for guest bedroom and wanted to build an L-shape off the back of the house in order to add a large bathroom. The bedroom is completely lit up from both side by fitted Velux window and a dormer window on the other side and in the hallway, a roof light floods the stairwell with natural light. It not only created a way for natural light but also increased ventilation in the room. The staircase leads down from the loft to the two newly refurbished bedrooms: one master bedroom with huge shower room and closet space, and one cozy yet spacious kids’ room right across the hall from it. The master bedroom is airy and perfectly illuminated by two huge windows. The room has a lot of space for easy navigation to the dressing area and an ensuite bathroom. The dressing area consists of huge built-in closets that can store all the regular and seasonal belongings in place. The shower room has a luxurious shower closet with shelves. The kids’ room has most cosy vibe in the entire house, it is well-lit and is decorated with lively colours and various kinds of storage options. The family bathroom is equally cozy and has a bathtub and a separate shower.
This loft conversion and first floor refurbishment cost added up to £112k and took around 17 weeks to complete. To check out the transformation of client’s vision into reality for the ground floor, hop on to our next case for the same Victorian house about the “Kitchen Extension”.
