Dormer L-shaped Loft Conversion - Waltham Forest
Creative Spaces transformed a loft into a bright and stylish multi-functional space incorporating a master bedroom, study and walk-in closet with plenty of storage. Along with that the loft was also added a spacious family bathroom with sweeping views over the city.
Our client’s beautiful Victorian house already had three bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor, however, their requirement for space grew as their family expanded. They contacted us with their vision of converting their huge loft with a dormer loft conversion into a bedroom with all the essentials they need in their home.
We started with designing the new layout as per our client’s brief to fit a bedroom, study area, walk-in closet and eaves storage in the new loft room. A new staircase was added to access the loft bedroom, that accesses the bedroom and a large and impressive family bathroom. The bedroom is spacious and has a lot of space to walk around with a quiet area to work or study under the pitched side of the roof. A huge window to the rear of the room allows natural light to enter that brightens up the space. On the either side, the roof has two Velux windows installed above the study area. This illuminates the other half of the room perfectly. A new cosy sitting areas was created just under the Velux as well. To the right of this space, eaves storage is utilised for the requirement of storage. The space leading to the bathroom has a big roof light that allows enough light to keep the otherwise dark staircase well lit. The other space of this L-shaped loft is the family bathroom, that is illuminated by a beautiful large window that allow light to reach every corner of the room. The family bathroom has an elegant bathtub and a shower closet with premium tiling and fittings. The entire loft room was decorated tastefully that gave us our happy clients.
This dormer loft conversion cost was approx. £68k and it took us 8 weeks to complete.
